Invite garden birds for a drink.

  1. Slide the mini bird into the base slot (Robin, Wren or your favourite).
  2. Select a strong branch, post, or fence that can support a filled bowl.
  3. Hold the base horizontal so the circular cut-out faces the sky.
  4. Gently tap the stake in place using a mallet or small hammer.
  5. Insert your bowl and fill with clean water or bird seed.

Top Tip: Use a shallow dish to encourage safe drinking and easy clean-up.

Is the bowl included?
No. Use your own — ceramic, plastic, or recycled containers all work great.

Will it hold heavy bowls?
Light-to-medium bowls are best. Avoid fragile or oversized vessels.

Can I use this year-round?
Yes — just swap water for seed in colder months.

What bird types will it attract?
Robins, tits, sparrows and finches are all likely visitors.

Will it rust or stain my fence?
Corten develops a rust-like patina, but it won’t flake or damage wood.

Each Metalbird is crafted from Corten® Steel, a premium, weathering steel made to last.

When it meets the elements, it doesn’t rust like your old BBQ. It transforms.

That change you’re seeing? That’s patina. A tough, protective outer layer that seals the steel, adds character, and preserves your bird for decades.

This isn’t paint. It’s nature’s way of ageing gracefully.

The Patina Process:

At first, you’ll notice bright orange spots (we call this the teenage phase). Soon enough, the whole bird will turn a bold orange, slowly shifting into deep burnt umber. Eventually, it settles into a moody charcoal that feels like it’s always belonged.

The Result? A piece of industrial art with a heartbeat. No peeling, no fading, just a bird that gets better with age.
