Cheeky, bright, and endlessly busy, the Blue Tit is one of the UK’s most loved garden visitors. Famous for its aerial acrobatics and pecking through milk tops, it’s also a doting parent — known to feed its chicks up to 1,000 times a day during peak nesting.
This silhouette captures its perky charm and is the perfect companion for flower beds, feeders, or window boxes.

Let your Blue Tit perch proudly.
Choose a spot near flowers or feeders where Blue Tits are often seen.
Hold the silhouette slightly angled downwards for a natural look.
Tap the stake into position using a small hammer or mallet.
Check the position and stability before letting go.
Place it where sunlight can highlight its shape.
Top Tip: Great on raised garden beds or windowsills for maximum visibility.
Do Blue Tits recognise these silhouettes?
No — but they won’t be bothered by them either. Place nearby to feeders and enjoy their real visits.
Will the colour change over time?
Yes — it will develop a rustic patina that enhances the silhouette while protecting it.
Is it OK to leave outside all year?
Definitely. Corten steel is designed for the elements and built to last.
Can it be a gift?
Absolutely — it’s a popular pick for birthdays, housewarmings, or as a cheerful garden surprise.
What makes the Blue Tit special?
It’s acrobatic, intelligent, and surprisingly hardy — a tiny bird with huge character.

AS SEEN IN
Each Metalbird is crafted from Corten® Steel, a premium, weathering steel made to last.
When it meets the elements, it doesn’t rust like your old BBQ. It transforms.
That change you’re seeing? That’s patina. A tough, protective outer layer that seals the steel, adds character, and preserves your bird for decades.
This isn’t paint. It’s nature’s way of ageing gracefully.
The Patina Process:
At first, you’ll notice bright orange spots (we call this the teenage phase). Soon enough, the whole bird will turn a bold orange, slowly shifting into deep burnt umber. Eventually, it settles into a moody charcoal that feels like it’s always belonged.
The Result? A piece of industrial art with a heartbeat. No peeling, no fading, just a bird that gets better with age.
what’s the word on the bird?

Blue tit
I bought this Blue tit metal bird for my bird loving parents in Denmark. They have placed it outside the kitchen window in the front garden where they already have a bird feeder and bird bath. It's in a prime position and can easily be seen and enjoyed all day. It makes them smile. What else could you wish for . A great gift, I can definitely recommend this.
Very pleased
When I first saw these I immediately thought of Christmas presents for my sisters but bought myself the blue tit to check it out. I was very pleased with the quality of the bird and the speed of service. I have subsequently bought 2x long tailed tits, 1 for each sister.
Love it
I was given the kookaburra as a gift and loved it so much have ordered others for friends. I get such pleasure looking at my kookaburra on my eucalyptus tree. I haven’t given the blue tit yet to my friend but I know she will love it.
Love Our Birds
We were given a wren for Christmas and just loved it. Once he was up it was so obvious we had to have another so a blue tit came to join us! They’re gorgeous. Thanks
Christmas present
I cannot fault the service or quality in any way. In the lead up to Christmas I know they were very busy. I asked a question about my order and received an email right away. We have lots of Blue Tits and Robins visiting our gardens, therefore,I had to purchase one of each for my husband as a present. He loves them and they proudly hang on two of our trees. I would highly recommend this company and their products!!
My beautiful plant stake arrived this lunchtime and I adore it. I don't have a tree or fence to display a spike, I wish I had. The quality is amazing, now my only problem is which other plant stake to buy. I am definitely ordering another. Thank you for bringing pleasure to a grey dismal day.
A really special gift
Bought a metal bird for my mum. I was really impressed with the look and quality. Needless to say she absolutely loved it. I will definitely be buying again.
Beautiful robin
Bought a few metal birds for gifts at Christmas. Kept a robin for us and love it outside our kitchen window. Brings us so much pleasure
Simple well made and tasteful
Brilliant quality with excellent finish looks really smart and I have got comments on it a few times already. Cant wait to see how it transforms over time.
The perfect present
Absolutely brilliant present, my mum loved it. Well made and sturdy construction - both beautifully to look at and easy to install.
Only issue was the postal strikes had my bird “circling” the sorting office in Warrington for nearly two weeks. Arrived in time for Christmas and nothing that the company could do about it.
Quality
Wow amazing gift bought for an amazing person, great item super fast delivery and good communication, I would recommend Metal Birds to anyone wanting to give someone a unique gift.
Good Stuff
Bought this as a gift for my husband, it hasn’t got to the garden as yet but there is a spot waiting for it to be put up. We both think it’s fabulous…
Lesson learnt
Very disappointed, I know it's supposed to rust but not to this degree surely, I can't even touch it without getting dirt on my hands
Amazing gift
Bought as a gift for my husband. Absolutely adore this bird in our back garden. My husband loved it too. Good quality and a lovely piece of metal work
Metalbird Blue Tit
I bought this for my Daughter's birthday, and she absolutely adores it! It took pride of place in a tree which she can see from her kitchen window everyday! Fantastic delivery and very well packaged. I'd love one now! :grinning:
