Each Metalbird is crafted from Corten® Steel, a premium, weathering steel made to last.
When it meets the elements, it doesn’t rust like your old BBQ. It transforms.
That change you’re seeing? That’s patina. A tough, protective outer layer that seals the steel, adds character, and preserves your bird for decades.
This isn’t paint. It’s nature’s way of ageing gracefully.
The Patina Process:
At first, you’ll notice bright orange spots (we call this the teenage phase). Soon enough, the whole bird will turn a bold orange, slowly shifting into deep burnt umber. Eventually, it settles into a moody charcoal that feels like it’s always belonged.
The Result? A piece of industrial art with a heartbeat. No peeling, no fading, just a bird that gets better with age.
what’s the word on the bird?

I bought this as an anniversary gift for my daughter and son in law. They were very happy with them and the swallows found a home in their garden, straight away. I think all your metal work is gorgeous and difficult to make a choice. So sad I don’t have a garden for such beautiful birds.
Christmas gift for my father inlaw, looks fantastic. In a tree in the mountains in the Basque Country, Spain
I just love my little Robin, a Christmas present from my husband. He spotted me following you on Instagram and suprised me. Here it is on it's fist day out! Definitely would like the swallow to keep Robin company now!
My first purchase and changing colour slowly, great idea for a gift.

I love my bird sculpture I bought it for a friend who’d lost his wife and wanted something to always be there for him as a reminder of their love
A lovely pair of Swallows, just what I wanted as a gift for my wife on our 11th (steel), wedding anniversary. An initial hiccup with the order was promptly, effectively and satisfactorily dealt with, thank you. Perfect quirky gift for our anniversary, my wife loved them and they look great set up in place. I'd have no hesitation in recommending metal birds, thanks again.
