Turn over a patch of soil and a Robin may be close behind, watching for worms and grubs. These curious garden visitors sing through much of the year. Small wonder they become part of the daily routine.
Our steel Robin holds that familiar rounded shape on a simple branch. Put it where you’ll catch sight of it from the kitchen window or your favourite garden chair. For some, it recalls a person. For others, it’s simply their favourite bird. You choose what it means.
MADE FOR OUTDOORS
Steel that changes with the seasons
Yes, the steel changes colour. Corten is weathering steel: outdoors it develops a rust-coloured patina that gives the surface its character. The colour and speed of change depend on the weather and exposure.
The finish is meant to change. Avoid placing it where rust run-off could mark pale paving or other surfaces.
INSTALLATION
Choose a perch. Tap it in.
Choose a solid wooden post, fence or timber planter. Position the integrated spike against the timber and tap it in gently with a hammer until the bird sits securely. Avoid striking the bird itself.
Choose a position you have permission to use. Keep the spike out of children’s reach.
READY TO GIVE
A small box with someone in mind.
For the gardener, the bird lover, or the friend who already has enough mugs. The Robin arrives flat in a 30 × 21 × 1 cm gift box, ready for you to give.
It can mark a birthday, a new home or someone you miss. What it means is yours to decide.

It is a flat steel silhouette, cut with the branch and mounting spike as one piece. The photographs show how it looks once installed.
Where should I put it?
Choose solid timber where the silhouette has a clear background, such as a wooden fence post or planter. Try the view from your window before you tap it in.
Will it stay the same colour?
No. Outdoors, the Corten steel develops a rust-coloured patina. Every position weathers a little differently.
Can I give it as a remembrance gift?
Yes. Some people choose a Robin because it reminds them of someone. There is no fixed meaning: choose it for the person and the place.
Does it need a separate bracket?
No. The mounting spike is part of the steel silhouette. You will need a hammer and suitable solid timber.

Would recommend
I’ve bought these birds as gifts for different occasions and they’ve always been loved by the recipients. We then bought this robin for my mother-in-law for Christmas after my father-in-law sadly passed earlier this year, with the quote “robins appear when loved ones are near” attached on the label. Well, I don’t think it could have been received better. She was truly touched and could hardly find the words to express how much she loved it. We’ve put it up in her garden not far from the window so she can always see it. Sorry for the sad tale but it’s just to say these birds are so lovely and can be meaningful in so many ways. I’d highly recommend these as an unusual gift that keeps on giving! They’re of excellent quality, arrive quickly, are so simple to put up and then age so beautifully. Thanks so much!
I bought a Robin last year for my daughter, as a family my late mum and dad loved Robins so as a perfect gift, I have bought a robin for my sister and brother in law for Christmas, it's such a unique piece just can't resist. Highly recommend !!
Love it. I purchased this for myself as I’m hoping it may encourage a real robin. Good weight to it and beautifully crafted. Just a shame I can’t find a place where it shows a background of sky to accentuate it. However I plan to put it on my fence just outside my lounge window so I can easily see it each day.
I bought a Robin for my neighbour as she believed her dear departed Father came back as a Robin and would be constantly visiting her garden every year. I was bought a Blackbird for the sane reason as my late Father said he'd come back as a Blackbird. It gives me comfort, and I know the Robin will give my neighbour comfort too. They are a delightful garden feature and a great talking point. Only downside for me is I wished I had painted the Blackbird with a black netal paint to keep it black, but I think the Robin will look better going the rusty colour.
Beautiful little Robin
The 2nd metalbird in our garden. I think it could be addictive! They look awesome. Beautifully made and they add something special.
