The Long-Tailed Tit is one of the UK’s most loved garden birds — and it’s not hard to see why. With its pinkish belly, stripey eyes, and fluffed-out feathers, it flits noisily around gardens and hedgerows in fast-moving groups that chatter constantly.
This silhouette captures its curious charm and cloud-like roundness perfectly. A favourite for birders, nature lovers, and anyone in need of a lift.

Where there’s one tit, there’s usually more!
Pick a playful perch like a fence rail or low branch.
Hold the bird angled slightly forward for a lively posture.
Tap the stake into wood with a hammer or rubber mallet.
Check it’s secure with a light shake.
Group with others for a full tit flock effect.
Top Tip: Install near bird feeders or berry bushes to make it feel at home.
Why are they called Long-Tailed Tits?
Because their tail is nearly as long as their body — giving them their signature shape.
Do they visit gardens?
Yes — they’re very social and often found in flocks during the winter.
Will the finish hold up outdoors?
Definitely. Corten steel is designed to withstand British rain and snow.
Do I need any tools?
Just a hammer or mallet — no other fixings required.
Can I pair it with other birds?
Yes — try it with our Robin or Wren for a full garden chorus.

AS SEEN IN
Each Metalbird is crafted from Corten® Steel, a premium, weathering steel made to last.
When it meets the elements, it doesn’t rust like your old BBQ. It transforms.
That change you’re seeing? That’s patina. A tough, protective outer layer that seals the steel, adds character, and preserves your bird for decades.
This isn’t paint. It’s nature’s way of ageing gracefully.
The Patina Process:
At first, you’ll notice bright orange spots (we call this the teenage phase). Soon enough, the whole bird will turn a bold orange, slowly shifting into deep burnt umber. Eventually, it settles into a moody charcoal that feels like it’s always belonged.
The Result? A piece of industrial art with a heartbeat. No peeling, no fading, just a bird that gets better with age.
what’s the word on the bird?

Lovely metal bird for my partner's garden. Well made and just that little bit of a different gift
Should have put this under Greater Woodpecker!!
This beautiful woodpecker was bought for my son and daughter in law and adorned a huge tree in their ‘back yard’ in Cranford, New Jersey.
I have bought many birds for friends. Great gift! Super quality. Really strong.
Really pleased
Bought this for my Dad for his Birthday as his favourite bird is a long tailed tit. He loved it. Really excellent quality, well packaged
Beautiful bird product at reasonable prices for gifts.
Long-tailed tit is cute and already on it 'perch' in my garden
Thank you for a fabulous business snd customer service 👏
Very happy - looks great
This was a Christmas present for my father, and he loved it. The whole family agree that it looks great. Unfortunately it can't disguise the construction work behind the garden, but it makes a great addition to the existing ornaments and feeders.
BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR FRIEND
We were lucky enough to be at our friend's the day her gift arrived by post and so not only see her delight when opening it but we too could see our gift 'in the flesh' Lovely design, quality and the whole ethos of your company I love!
A little cutie
Bought this for friend who is moving house, for her new garden. I was gifted a Robin and absolutely love it, a subtle garden sculpture once you’ve seen you always see it against the sky.
Gorgeous
Bought as a gift for my daughter in law and she loved it. She always comments on the birds in our garden and was delighted to now own one of her own.
Beautiful gift, so well made
This was a Christmas gift for my mother and she absolutely loved it. She had seen a couple before and was thrilled to own one her self. It’s so nice to be supporting local art and to have something so eye catching on the garden.
Beautiful Christmas present for mum.
Due to illness, mum spends a lot of time bird watching from the house. This beautiful sculpture knocked into the tree is a lovely addition to the garden x
Beautiful and unique gift
I bought this for my dad's 70th birthday and it's a lovely gift. There was a slight mix up with the order originally but it was sorted out quickly with no issue. Great component and great product.
Very good design, but not to be outside as they rust
When the birds came I was delighted, very nice and elegant. I put them outside and within 2 months, they are completely rusty. The birds are expensive, for this price you could have an anti rust paint
Long tailed tit
This was bought for a friend's birthday, which isn't until this weekend. I am sure she will be absolutely delighted with her present. I will let you know. Thanks
I am really happy with my order. This is a present for a friend, which is yet to be given. I have in my garden the Wren and Chicks which is looking lovely just turning to the rust red colour
Loves it!
This was a Christmas present for my husband and he loves it. He is fascinated with how it's been made and loves the intricacy of the design. It's not up yet as we are waiting to have some trees taken out at which point we will site it where it can be seen from around the garden and house.
Perfect gift!
I bought this for my Mum for Christmas. We'll be putting it up in the garden soon. We're just deciding the perfect spot for it. She loves it and I'm looking forward to watching it settle into the garden environment.
